Guru has mentioned that he recognized King Paluta’s immense potential and believed that it was just a matter of time before he achieved great success.
The veteran rapper who played a pivotal role in King Paluta’s journey to success, shared his delight in witnessing the artist attain a level of recognition that reaches the homes of many.
Guru disclosed his confidence in King Paluta’s talent and potential, a perspective that was not shared by others at the time, which is the primary reason he signed him to his NKZ record label in 2017.
“People were doubting him when I brought him out. They were like, anytime I go on air and say, ‘Okay, my favourite artiste is King Paluta.
“My best rapper is King Paluta.’ They would ask, ‘Are you sure? Who is he?’ They didn’t even know. But I’m proud of him today because he’s been able to grow from whatever he was doing,” Guru told Berla Mundi on TV3.
Guru emphasized the significance of continuous growth and the discovery of a style that connects with the audience, observing that King Paluta has adeptly traversed this path.
