Our Editorial Policy
At Nsemwokrom.com, our goal is simple: report the news fast, but get it right. This page explains how we source, write, verify, and correct our stories.
How We Source Our Stories
Every story we publish is based on one or more of the following:
- Official statements — from the Ghana Police Service, government ministries, public institutions, clubs, record labels, or company press releases
- On-record sources — interviews, public speeches, and broadcasts (radio, TV, podcasts)
- Verified social media posts — content published directly by the people or institutions involved, from their confirmed accounts
- Credible media reports — when we reference reporting by other outlets, we name them and link to the original source
We attribute information to its source within the article, and we link out wherever possible so readers can verify for themselves.
Accuracy & Verification
Before publishing, we check that names, dates, locations, and quotes match the original source material. Where a story is developing and facts are not yet confirmed, we say so clearly — using words like “alleged”, “reportedly”, or “yet to be confirmed” — rather than presenting claims as established fact.
Corrections
We are human, and we sometimes get things wrong. When we do:
- Significant errors (wrong names, false claims, misattributed quotes) are corrected promptly, with a correction note added to the article
- Minor errors (typos, formatting) are fixed without a note
- If a story is found to be fundamentally inaccurate, we will update or retract it and state why
Spotted an error? Email us at message@kingbygone.com with the article link and the issue. We review every correction request.
Opinion vs. News
News articles report facts and attributed claims. Where content reflects opinion or commentary, it is clearly presented as such and represents the view of the writer, not Nsemwokrom.com as a whole.
Privacy & Sensitivity
For stories involving victims of crime, minors, or sensitive personal matters, we balance the public’s right to know against the dignity and safety of those involved. We avoid publishing personal details that serve no public interest.
Advertising & Independence
Nsemwokrom.com is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over our editorial decisions, and sponsored content, where published, is clearly labelled.
