Media personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso, has wondered why there is a double standard in regards to older men dating younger women and older women dating younger men.
According to her, whenever an older man dates a younger woman, people have no problem with it but whenever an older woman dates a younger man, all hell breaks loose.
Delay took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to make her point, writing: “Why is it ok for rich men to be with younger women, but taboo for rich women to be with younger men?”
Delay, who is in her 40s, is one of the most famous female public figures in Ghana who has yet to get married or (publicly) welcome a child at her age.
Conversations around her typically revolve around those topics. Delay last year also made headlines when she was alleged to have been dating the young rapper, Amerado.
Reacting to her post, social media users disagreed with her claim with many saying when she was linked to Amerado, the public generally accepted it.
One netizen even offered themself to date Delay, commenting on her post: “Who made it a taboo, not in my family. Try me and see how you be welcomed,”
