Police in South Africa have launched a nationwide manhunt for a man identified as Mayor Bugiri Dr Arizona on TikTok.
The manhunt followed after he murdered a middle-aged man named Emmanuel in a horrifying hit-and-run incident.
A viral video evidence circulating on social media shows Dr Arizona using his Toyota Hilux to intentionally knock down Emmanuel at a top speed.
After knocking him down, he drove over him multiple times to ultimately kill him on the spot.
The disturbing footage has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation online.
Sources close to the incident claim that the brutal murder was fueled by jealousy.
Dr Arizona got infuriated and betrayed after discovering that his girlfriend was romantically involved with Emmanuel.
After the disturbing discovery, he tracked Emmanuel’s movements until he found the “perfect spot” to commit the act.
Immediately after the crime, Dr Arizona fled the scene, and he has since gone into hiding.
The Uganda Police Service has confirmed that a formal investigation is underway and that efforts are being made to apprehend him as soon as possible.
