Samuel Sarfo Duku, the Communications Director for Asante Kotoko, has revealed that the police have pinpointed a suspect named Brimah as the one accountable for the unfortunate stabbing and demise of Francis Yaw Frimpong, affectionately known as Nana Pooley, a loyal supporter of the team.
The event took place on February 2, 2025, after a Ghana Premier League game between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC at Nana Koronamansah Park.
Speaking with reporters following court sessions on Monday, February 17, 2025, Duku disclosed that Brimah, who is still at large, is the main suspect in the matter.
As per police records referenced by Duku, all the suspects currently detained have confessed that Brimah was the individual who lethally stabbed Pooley.
Now it means that one person is still at large; he’s called Brimah. The police, per their facts, said that he actually stabbed the deceased person to death.
He further emphasised that all arrested persons testified to that fact.
In fact, according to the police, and I’m referring to their facts, which are now a public document, all the accused persons have admitted that it was that guy called Brimah, who is now at large, that stabbed Pooley to death.
