NPP Regional Chairmen-Elect Announced: Meet the New Leaders

Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) elected new regional executives across the country on Saturday, August 15. The elections are part of the party's efforts to strengthen its regional structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

New Regional Chairmen-Elected for NPP

The regional executive elections were closely contested, with several chairmanship positions going down to the wire. Based on provisional results, the following candidates have been elected regional chairmen:

Western Region – Ignatius Kwesi Afrifa
Savannah Region – Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana
Bono Region – Kwame Baffoe Abronye
Greater Accra Region – Dr Bernard Okoe Boye
Ashanti Region – Odeneho Kwaku Appiah
Eastern Region – Jeff Konadu Addo
Central Region – Joseph Kobinah Esibu
Northern Region – Mohammed Baatima Adam (Samba)
North East Region – Alhaji Mohammed Fuseini
Upper East Region – Elvis Figo Awonekai
Upper West Region – Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman
Volta Region – Makafui Kofi Woanyah
Oti Region – Result pending

NPP's Efforts to Rebuild and Mobilize

The elections are part of the NPP's efforts to rebuild its grassroots base and position the party for the 2028 general elections.
