Fresh footage captures Kantanka's casket arriving at the funeral grounds amid reports of a hearse interception.

A video circulating on social media has raised questions about whether the casket present at Apostle Prof. Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka's funeral contained his remains. The footage, which appears to show a white pickup truck carrying a casket draped in a large cloth, has sparked widespread speculation on social media platforms.

Funeral Proceeds Amid Court Injunction

The claims of an empty casket follow reports that a hearse transporting the body of the late engineer and Kristo Asafo Mission founder was stopped by police while en route to the burial grounds. The interception was said to comply with an interim injunction issued by the Accra High Court, which temporarily suspended the planned funeral amid a legal dispute over who holds the authority to organise his final rites.

Adwoa Safo, the daughter of the late Apostle, was present at the funeral proceedings, along with her mother, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena. The Ghana Police Service reportedly intercepted the hearse transporting the body to the funeral grounds in Gomoa Mpota.

New Video Raises More Questions

The combination of those earlier reports and the new video has prompted many Ghanaians to question whether the casket present at the funeral venue actually contained the late Apostle's remains. Despite the unresolved questions, funeral activities continued at Gomoa Mpota, where family members, church members, and mourners gathered to honour the renowned inventor, industrialist, and spiritual leader.

No official statement addressing the speculation had been released by the Kantanka family, the Kristo Asafo Mission, or the Ghana Police Service at the time of publishing. As such, claims that the casket was empty remain unverified.

Funeral Activities Continue Amid Uncertainty

Funeral activities continued at Gomoa Mpota, with family members, church members, and mourners gathered to honour the late Apostle. The Instagram video showing the casket is available for public viewing. The video shows a white pickup truck carrying a casket draped entirely in a large cloth, surrounded by mourners and onlookers.

The cloth obscured the casket completely, prompting widespread speculation on social media platforms. The Ghana Police Service has not made any official statement regarding the interception of the hearse transporting the body to the funeral grounds.

The funeral of Apostle Prof. Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka remains a contentious issue, with many questions still unanswered. The combination of the new video and the earlier reports of the hearse interception has raised more questions about the authenticity of the casket present at the funeral venue.
