Controversial Ghanaian gospel singer Gifty Adorye (formerly Osei), popularly known as Empress Gifty, has rubbished reports that she has undergone facial reconstructive surgery.
In a video sighted by nsemwokrom on Instagram, Adorye addressed all critics of her look following a recent trip abroad to have some cosmetic work done on her face and teeth – including veneers and a facelift.
Adorye returned from her trip with a completely new look for her face and teeth. Critics attacked her for being vain, as it was thought to be a taboo for a gospel singer to undergo such procedures. Others mocked her for her ‘unsatisfactory’ look despite her procedures.
In the new video firing back at critics, Adorye said contrary to social media claims, she did not undergo surgery but some simple procedures to stop the ageing process and get rid of wrinkles on her face. Empress Gifty revealed a friend, who is a doctor, invited her to carry out the procedures. Gifty added that since returning she was supposed to be on bed rest but has been busy attending programs and events.
Empress set a deadline of the first week of May for the full results of her procedures to show. She said once that occurs, most people mocking her will find their way to where she went to undergo the same procedure she did.
