Abroad-based Ghanaian content creator, Naana Donkor Arthur has disclosed in a recent interview how she almost took her life when she found out her first child was autistic.

According to Naana Donkor, she discovered that her first child, Charlton, was autistic when he was just a little over one year old.

This revelation marked a pivotal moment in her journey as a mother and an advocate for autism awareness.

Speaking to Zionfelix in an interview, Naana who is affectionately known as NDA, shared her initial reaction to the diagnosis. She admitted that accepting the news was not easy, as she struggled to come to terms with it.

NDA revealed that her first instinct was to question the accuracy of the diagnosis, suspecting that there might have been a mistake in the assessment.

She also disclosed how she broke down after confirming that her son was autistic knowing the challenges he is likely to face in adjusting to life.
