Ghanaian Father ‘Angry’ After Son Sends WASSCE Results as ‘View Once’ on WhatsApp

A Ghanaian father has been left stunned and outraged after his son chose to share his much-anticipated WASSCE results via WhatsApp using the “view once” feature.

This option, which allows the recipient to see a message only once before it disappears, didn’t sit well with the father, who had invested so much in his son’s education.

“I’ve sacrificed everything for this boy, paid his fees, supported him through thick and thin and this is how he chooses to share his results with me? A ‘view once’ message? I’m done!” the frustrated father reportedly exclaimed.

The father’s reaction quickly went viral, with netizens finding humor in the situation. The comment sections lit up with hilarious remarks as people weighed in on the unexpected twist.

One user, Chu_kwu_b.f, joked, “Ago do your school fees to view once,” suggesting parents might retaliate by using the same feature.

Another, kofykhay, humorously speculated, “I bet you this father is an Adventist,” referencing the father’s seemingly strict demeanor.

King Bygone chimed in, “I guess father will send his chop money as View once. Heheheh.”

While the incident has sparked laughter online, it also highlights the growing generational gap in communication styles and the occasional misuse of modern technology.

The father’s frustration is understandable, as such an important milestone deserved a more thoughtful approach. As for the son, he may have learned a valuable lesson about respecting family bonds and the art of proper communication.
