Yaw Bimpong, a 38-year-old driver, has been sentenced to 5 years and 8 months in prison with hard labor by the Assin Kyekyerwere Circuit Court in the Central Region.
The court found him guilty of reckless driving and causing harm after driving under the influence of alcohol.
The incident occurred at Assin Nyankumase, where Bimpong’s impaired driving led to a tragic accident that claimed the lives of three people and left several others injured.
