Denny Laine was a British singer-songwriter and musician who was a founding member of the Moody Blues and Wings.
He was best known for his collaborations with Paul McCartney, as well as his solo work.
He started playing guitar at an early age and formed his first band, Denny and the Diplomats, when he was still in school.
He joined The Moody Blues in 1964 as their lead singer and guitarist, and co-wrote their first hit, “Go Now”. He left the band in 1966 after their second album, and pursued a solo career.

Denny Laine was married four times in his life. His first wife was Jo Jo Laine, a model and actress whom he married in 1970.
They had two children together: Damian James (born in 1973) and Laine Hines (born in 1978). They divorced in 1985.
Originally a groupie who had affairs with Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and many other artists, she had a lengthy relationship with Rod Stewart just before meeting Laine.
Laine’s memoirs appeared in the British tabloid The Sunday People, in a series of articles on April 17, April 18, and May 1, 1983.
