Charli XCX’s parents are Jon Aitchison and Shameera Aitchison. Jon is a Scottish entrepreneur and former show-booker who runs a recycling company.
Shameera is a Gujarati Indian nurse who moved to the UK in the 1970s. They raised Charli in Start Hill, Essex, where they still live.
She has stated that she is “extremely proud” of her Indian heritage.
