The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has reminded the public that cultural performances at the airport require prior approval.

GACL’s Commercial Services Department staff stressed that all cultural performances must obtain approval before being allowed to take place. This is to ensure that the airport remains a secure environment for both passengers and staff. In a Facebook post, the company encouraged patrons to give their loved ones a memorable welcome, but only with the proper clearance.

The Commercial Services Department is responsible for granting approval for cultural performances at the airport. According to GACL, enquiries can be directed to 0302 550612 Ext. 6147 for further information. Unauthorised cultural performances without the express approval of the Airport Authority are not permitted at the airport.

Filming at the airport by third parties is also prohibited due to security considerations. However, GACL stated that approval will only be granted where there are essential reasons. This means that exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis, and only if the reasons are deemed sufficient.

For further information or clarification, the public may contact the Aviation Security Department on 0302 550612 Ext. 3318 or 3333. The Aviation Security Department is responsible for ensuring the security of the airport and its passengers. They will be able to provide more information on the approval process for cultural performances and filming at the airport.

The approval process is in place to ensure that the airport remains a safe and secure environment for all. GACL’s efforts to regulate cultural performances and filming at the airport are aimed at preventing any potential security risks. By obtaining prior approval, the public can help ensure that the airport remains a welcoming and secure space for all.
