Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson has formally handed over the administration of the Ministry of Defence to Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, ending his tenure as the ministry’s caretaker. The handover comes nearly a year after Dr Ato Forson took charge of the ministry following the death of the substantive minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

Ministry Leadership Transferred to New Hands

The transfer of responsibility was confirmed with the signing of relevant documents by the outgoing and incoming ministers. Dr Ato Forson's period of interim leadership at the ministry has come to an end, allowing him to focus fully on his substantive role as Finance Minister.
