Residents of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region has slammed the President, John Dramani Mahama, over his failure to appoint their Member of Parliament (MP), Honorable Ernest Norgbey, to a ministerial position.
Speaking during an interview, a resident of the community who was representing the NDC supporters in the area, complained about the failure to name Hon Norgbey to any position.
According to them, they have been faithful supporters of the NDC and deserve their MP being named to a ministerial position. The NDC supporters also said they had been promised that Norgbey would be appointed yet despite all the appointments the President has been making, there has been no position handed to the Ashaiman MP.
The angry residents said when the party needs people to go on demo they call on them yet when its time to share positions they are ignored. “Are we only good enough for demonstrations?” their spokesperson asked.
