The footage, sighted by King Bygone and shared by The 1957 News, shows the suspect attempting to escape with stolen goods amidst the chaos.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the boy taking advantage of the confusion caused by the fire to steal from traders who had already lost significant property to the flames.

Police on the scene acted swiftly to detain the suspect, confiscating the knife he carried. Authorities have since warned against exploiting such tragic events, emphasizing the need for community solidarity during times of crisis.
