Ghanaian entertainer, influencer and noted Master of Ceremonies (MC) Portfolio, has brushed the complaints of King Promise’s fans aside after the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker lost out on the Artist of the Year award to Stonebwoy at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
A heated debate has popped up on social media between fans of the two artists over the decision to award Stonebwoy the top award ahead of King Promise.
Fans of the latter said his hit single ‘Terminator’ was the biggest hit of the year and considering he had also been projecting Ghana outside with some foreign tours, he should be the one who deserves the award.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy fans have also noted that his album was the best album of the year with multiple international features and Stonebwoy had also been projecting Ghana abroad hence deserved to win.
Reacting to the argument, MC Portfolio said King Promise is a one-hit wonder with Terminator but did not have the totality of work within the year under review to beat out Stonebwoy to the title.
