Some widows in Kumasi have brought to the limelight the challenges they go through.
Speaking in an interview available at the news desk of nsemwokrom, the widows expressed that life is extremely hard for them.
According to them, being widows, with some not having children, they have no option but to depend on alms for survival.
This comes after Brainy Queens, a foundation that seeks to put smiles on the faces of the needy and orphaned, led by Adwoa Pretty paid a courtesy call on them.
The donated items worth thousands of Cedis included rice, assorted drinks, cloth, and oil among others.
Brainy Queens has made similar generous offers in the previous years as they have vowed to do more.
“I know how it feels to be a widow and no life partner chooses to die and leave their partner behind”, the CEO said as she claims this is what motivates her to take up such philanthropic works”.
Brainy Queens wishes to always see food on the tables of the widows if not all of them. “Seeing smiles on the faces of widows is my priority”, the CEO added.
All the widows appreciated the works of Brainy Queens as they wished them well in their endeavors.
