A suspected thief has reportedly been apprehended after allegedly stealing batteries from street lamps at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
According to reports, the batteries were used to power street lights along roads within the university community, helping to provide visibility and security at night.
The suspect was allegedly caught during an operation after concerns were raised over repeated cases of missing batteries affecting lighting systems on campus.
Videos and photos circulating online showed the suspect being questioned after his arrest while some students and residents gathered at the scene.
