Robert Jenrick is a British politician who serves as the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government since 2019.
He is also the Conservative Member of Parliament for Newark since 2014.
Born in Wolverhampton, Jenrick attended St John’s College, Cambridge, where he read history, followed by the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied political science.
He then studied law and qualified as a solicitor. He was elected for Newark in a 2014 by-election following the resignation of Conservative MP Patrick Mercer after a cash-for-lobbying scandal.

Robert Jenrick is married to Michal Berkner, a corporate lawyer who works as a partner at the international law firm Sullivan & Cromwell.
They met at Cambridge University, where they both studied law. They tied the knot in 2009 and have three children together.
