A tragic accident involving a Mercedes Benz E43 and a G-Wagon has claimed one life at the Burma Camp roundabout in Accra.
The fatal crash reportedly occurred about an hour ago, causing heavy traffic and drawing the attention of motorists and residents in the area.
According to eyewitness accounts gathered at the scene, the two luxury vehicles collided violently under circumstances that are still being investigated. Sadly, one person was confirmed dead shortly after the accident.
Other victims who sustained injuries in the crash were quickly rushed to the Bank of Ghana Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Their current condition remains unknown at the time of filing this report.
Videos circulating on social media show the badly damaged vehicles at the scene as police officers and emergency responders worked to manage traffic and assist the injured.
Authorities are yet to release the identities of the victims involved in the accident. Police are also expected to begin investigations to determine the exact cause of the deadly collision.
The incident has once again raised concerns about road safety and reckless driving on some major roads in Accra.
