Gospel singer Dele Agbeyo, affectionately known as Dele Gold, has passed away. His death comes just a month after the loss of fellow musician Aduke Ajayi, also known as Aduke Gold.
The news of Agbeyo’s death was confirmed by his colleague Alayo Melody on social media on Wednesday.
Dele Gold reportedly passed away after a brief illness.
Melody expressed his grief in a post, saying, “Dele Gold died kee?? Ahhh This is getting too much ooo!!!! May God help us stop this untimely death. Dele Agbeyo, may your soul rest well.”
Fellow gospel singer Wonder Doyin Kujore also shared his sorrow on Instagram, writing, “Nothing in this world… let us live today and leave tomorrow for God. It saddens my heart to post about those who die prematurely, but I have to pay my last respects. Rest in peace Dele Agbotikuyo, Dele Gold.”
Dele Gold got more recognition after he collaborated with Juju music legend Ebenezer Obey on his album in 2019.
His passing marks a significant loss to the gospel music communities.
