A man has reportedly been apprehended in Accra after allegedly attempting to steal a battery from a police vehicle.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was caught in the act, leading to his immediate arrest before he could escape from the scene.
The incident attracted attention from residents and passersby, many of whom gathered to witness the unusual situation involving a police vehicle.
Videos and photos circulating on social media showed the suspect being questioned after his arrest, while some people expressed shock over the bold attempt.
The motive behind the alleged theft remains unclear, although some social media users have linked the act to the increasing cases of petty theft in parts of the capital.
Others also reacted humorously online, describing the incident as surprising considering the vehicle involved belonged to the police.
