“I think, it’s my last game for Ajax” — Kudus Mohammed confirms imminent exit after scoring hat-tric

The budding talented attacking midfielder has confirmed he will be leaving the Johan Cruyff Arena outfit in the coming days.

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has affirmed to his imminent exit from Ajax to begin a new challenge in this summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who scored a hat-trick in Ajax 4-1 away win over PFC Ludogorets in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League qualifiers, revealed that the game could be his last appearance for the Amsterdam based club.

English Premier League side West Ham United are reported to have reached an agreement with Ajax to secure the signature of Kudus Mohammed for a fee around the region of €44 million included a ten percent onwards sale.

“This was my first hattrick for Ajax, but not the best game. I had better performances,” Kudus Mohammed said after the game.

“Yes, I think so [on his move from Ajax this summer]. But let’s see what happens in the next days. The talks are going on.”

“We have to see if an agreement is reached in the next days.” He concluded.

Premier League trio Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea were among other clubs to have registered an interest in Kudus earlier in this summer’s transfer window. Brighton & Hove Albion also reached an agreement in principle to sign Kudus earlier this month but the deal hit snag.

He has spent three seasons in Amsterdam, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists in 87 games across all competitions for Ajax.

Kudus Mohammed has also scored seven goals in 24 appearances for Ghana including two in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
