The Ghana Police Service has declared businessman Henry Amponsah aka Henry Fitz wanted for the crime of sharing Serwaa Amihere’s bedroom video on social media after blackmailing and extorting her.

The police service is prosecuting Henry Fitz alongside two co-conspirators for blackmailing Serwaa Amihere, receiving the sum of Ghc 20,000 from her to stop them from releasing her video yet going ahead to release the video anyway.

According to an affidavit presented before the court, Henry Fitz had two friends contact Serwaa Amihere in December, threatening to release her videos if she did not pay up.

One defendant asked Serwaa for Ghc 5,000 whilst a second asked her for Ghc 20,000 to be paid into their MoMo accounts.

They threatened her that if she did not pay up her videos would be released.

Serwaa paid the Ghc 20,000 blackmail amount yet the video was released anyway, prompting her to lodge a complaint with the Ghana Police.

The two co-conspirators were arrested but Henry Fitz has gone on the run and been declared wanted by the Police.

Details of the prosecution against the three defendants can be found below…
