Denny Laine was a British singer-songwriter and musician who was a founding member of the Moody Blues and Wings.
He was best known for his collaborations with Paul McCartney, as well as his solo work.
He started playing guitar at an early age and formed his first band, Denny and the Diplomats, when he was still in school.
He joined The Moody Blues in 1964 as their lead singer and guitarist, and co-wrote their first hit, “Go Now”. He left the band in 1966 after their second album, and pursued a solo career.

Denny Laine had five children from his four marriages: Damian Hines, Laine Hines (born 1972), Heidi Hines (born 1980), Ainsley Laine-Adams (born 1981), and Lucianne Grant (born 1985).
He also had two stepchildren from his second marriage: Julian Lennon (born 1963) and Jason Starkey (born 1967), who are the sons of Linda Lawrence from her previous relationships with John Lennon and Ringo Starr respectively.
