The young lady who was captured on CCTV stealing from a gold dealership in Twifo Praso has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
A few weeks ago, we published an article where two youngsters were captured stealing an undisclosed amount of money and gold from a gold dealership.
The CCTV footage shows one of the girls pulling the drawer to one of the cabinets to check and steal the items from the drawer.
New information coming from the area has it that the young girl who is a teenager has been arrested by the Police after some people joined forces to locate her.
According to a source, the girl narrated that she had gone to the gold shop under the pretext of buying mercury.
However, upon realizing that the shop attendant had left the shop open, she made away with money from the drawer of the office desk at the shop and left.
Speaking after her arrest, she indicated that she had given Ghc 5,000 to the girl she was with on the day, Ghc 15,000 to her boyfriend, and an undisclosed amount to a woman she describes as her mother.
The boyfriend of the young lady was apprehended and is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
