Although Ghanaians have come to love her as the “Nana Ama McBrown,” that is not the real name of the country’s favorite actress.
The award-winning actress, who has won the hearts of millions of people in Ghana and around the world, has revealed the name “McBrown” was never her surname, but an inherited name from her uncle.
According to the host of the Onua TV show, the name “McBrown” was given to her by her late uncle, whom she adored so much.
Nana Ama revealed that the name “McBrown” was given to her uncle, Papa Kofi due to his selfless exploits outside of the country.
I can never let go of my name, the name ‘McBrown’ is exceptional. He didn’t get that name by chance, he was a good person and God took him to a good place.
Nana Ama also shared that her real name is “Felicity Agyeman,” and that all her “mates in Kwadaso and Prince of Peace girls SHS can attest to that.”
