Efia Odo, a musician and social media influencer from Ghana, gave her opinion on the Cecilia Dapaah tragedy.
The Minister for Sanitation, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, encountered controversy in July 2023 when court records showed that two of her domestic staff were accused of stealing substantial sums of money and priceless goods from her.
Around $1 million, and $300,000, as well as various pieces of apparel and jewelry worth a considerable amount, were among the stolen goods.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) launched an investigation into her fortune as a result of the discovery. Authorities searched her homes as a result, and at her Abelemkpe home, they found $590,000 and Gh2.7 million.
The sanitation minister was chastised by Efia Odo for not trying to improve her appearance while having access to significant resources when she posted her opinions on Twitter. She made a specific notice of the poor quality of her wigs, remarking on them.

Many of her followers, however, reacted negatively to her tweet because they thought that she was being superficial and trivializing a serious issue.
