Twene Jonas, a social media influencer known for his controversial remarks, has recently criticized the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for allegedly joining the Freemasons.

In a video that has gained significant attention, Jonas urged the king to “give his life to Christ,” and questioned his leadership and priorities

Jonas has been vocal about his discontent with various Ghanaian leaders, often accusing them of corruption and ineffectiveness.

In his recent outburst, he specifically targeted Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, arguing that it is inappropriate for the king to display wealth and participate in grand festivals while many of his subjects live in poverty.

He criticized the king for not using the wealth of the Ashanti Kingdom, especially the proceeds from gold sales, to improve the living conditions in Kumasi and the broader region’

Jonas’s comments have sparked a heated debate online, with many calling for him to apologize to the Asantehene. However, Jonas has remained defiant, refusing to apologize and continuing to lambast the leadership of the country.

He has maintained that until significant improvements are made in the governance and living conditions in Ghana, his critiques will persist​
