Robert Jenrick is a British politician who serves as the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government since 2019.
He is also the Conservative Member of Parliament for Newark since 2014.
Born in Wolverhampton, Jenrick attended St John’s College, Cambridge, where he read history, followed by the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied political science.
He then studied law and qualified as a solicitor. He was elected for Newark in a 2014 by-election following the resignation of Conservative MP Patrick Mercer after a cash-for-lobbying scandal.
