Nollywood rising star Patience Ugwu, popularly known as Pat Ugwu, has tragically died.
Ugwu’s death was announced on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, on social media by several of her colleagues. She was only 35 years old.
“Rest in peace sis. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God please. Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord,” actor Emeka Okoye wrote on Instagram.
Ugwu’s death shocked not only Nigerians but some colleague actors of hers.
“Chai just woke up this morning to hear the death of one of our crew and cast… rest in peace dead Pat Ugwu,” said actor Kevin Mike.
Pat Ugwu was a native of Umuogbu Itchi in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State. She had been making waves in Nollywood of late with several prominent roles.
Ugwu is set to be buried on Friday, February 7, 2025 in her hometown of Umuogbu Itchi.
