Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia has reflected on her decade-long journey in the music industry, describing it as a rollercoaster filled with struggles, prayers, and accomplishments.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM monitored by MyNewsGh, she shared how the past ten years have shaped her both professionally and personally.
“It’s just the beginning of the year, but I know this is going to be one of my most stressful years. It’s my tenth year in the industry, so it’s like an anniversary for me. I plan to host my own headline show,” she revealed.
When asked about the biggest highlight of her career, she pointed to the unexpected relationships she has built.
“Having new friends and family, people I never thought I’d be close to, has been a big blessing. I’ve gained contacts I never imagined having, and that makes a difference,” she said.
Looking back on her journey, she acknowledged the challenges and victories.
“There have been a lot of tears, a lot of prayers, a lot of excitement, and, of course, hit songs. Connecting with my fans and building a solid fan base has been fulfilling.
“Also, working with industry colleagues I once dreamed of collaborating with has been a major highlight for me.”
