Ghana is in mourning following the tragic death of former Black Stars player, Raphael Dwamena
The 28-year-old footballer collapsed and died during a match in the Albanian league, and his mortal remains have now been brought home country, Ghana for burial.
Raphael Dwamena was a celebrated figure in Ghanaian football, having represented the country on the international stage.
He was known for his skill and dedication on the field, and his sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of football fans across the nation.
Dwamena collapsed during a match between his team, KF Egnatia, and FK Partizani in the Albanian Super League.
Despite immediate medical intervention, Dwamena unfortunately passed away. The cause of death was reported to be a heart attack.
The news of Dwamena’s death sent shockwaves through the football community, both in Ghana and abroad.
His mortal remains arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Friday night for the final funeral rites, where family and friends gathered for a sombre ceremony.
