A Ghanaian woman who identifies as a lesbian, known as Sekina, has caused a stir online after stating in a self-recorded video that she is willing to give her baby to media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.

According to Sekina, her decision stems from Delay’s childlessness, and as a kind-hearted person, she believes sharing her baby with the celebrated broadcaster is the right thing to do.

In the video, Sekina proudly introduced herself as the first Ghanaian lesbian to give birth. She went on to show her baby sleeping peacefully, emphasizing that she had no reservations about offering the child to Delay. Her statement has since sparked conversations on social media, with netizens debating the appropriateness of her gesture and its underlying implications.

For years, Delay has been open about her desire to settle down and have children. As one of Ghana’s most successful media entrepreneurs, she has often been the subject of public scrutiny regarding her personal life, with many questioning why she has not yet tied the knot or started a family. Despite her remarkable achievements in media, television production, and business, the topic of marriage and children frequently resurfaces in discussions about her.

Sekina’s unexpected offer has added another layer to this ongoing discourse. While some fans view it as a humorous or even sarcastic take on Delay’s situation, others see it as an insensitive and unnecessary remark.
