Most of the time, women wearing chains and beads on their legs, on one leg, and some on both legs, have been seen as bad women who are into men or better still prostitutes.

However, Prophet Ebenezer Dabedwa Bossman alias Macho 1 of the Ebenezer Trumpet Ministry at Esaase near Ashanti Akropong has given a different meaning to anklets among Akans.

According to the opinionated man of God, Ashanti ladies should wear anklets as a sign of royal members of the Ashanti Kingdom in order to benefit from the treasures of the kingdom.

Prophet Macho 1 argued that Indians and other people around the world embrace their diverse cultures; therefore, he cannot understand why Ashanti ladies don’t want to embrace their rich cultural heritage, which includes anklets.
