The late mother-in-law of business mogul Osei Kwame Despite, Kate Opoku-Acheampong, is set for a royal send-off after her passing a few weeks ago.
Ahead of her funeral on October 11 to 13 in Mamponteng, the mortal remains of Despite’s mother-in-law were flown in by helicopter in an opulent casket.
Following the service, her remains were transported to Mamponteng near Kumasi to await the final burial and funeral rites.
Mother-In-Law Flown In Golden Casket
A video shared online by UTV Ghana showed a golden casket arriving by helicopter, where the bereaved family was waiting.
Kwame Despite, his wife Awurama Osei, and many others were present as pallbearers carried the casket to an awaiting hearse.
Many of the mourners broke down in tears as Mrs Opoku-Acheampong’s remains were set in the vehicle to be transported.

Osei Kwame Despite, who led his children and other family members to the burial service in Accra, had earlier arrived at the Prempeh International Airport with his entourage.
They drove in a convoy of expensive cars to go and receive the remains of his mother-in-law alongside the deceased’s family, per another online video shared by UTV Ghana.
Other footage showed the body leaving for Kumasi ahead of her final funeral rites, with an earlier service held in Accra for Despite’s late mother-in-law.
