Who Got Evicted From ‘Big Brother’ Last Night?

Ashley Trail became the first houseguest voted out of “Big Brother” Season 28 during Wednesday night’s eviction on July 16.

Her exit came after a chaotic first week that saw her nomination happen almost by accident, then turn into a unanimous vote against her.

How the first eviction played out

Evictions are the moments when houseguests are eliminated from the game. The Head of House nominates fellow contestants, and those nominees can save themselves by winning the Power of Veto.

The Power of Veto lets a contestant pull someone off the elimination block. When that happens, the Head of House has to name a replacement. The houseguests then vote on who leaves.

This week, Head of House and “Survivor” alum Dee Valladares first nominated Mallory Aurichio, Yash Patel, and Taylor Brown.

Ashley was not on the block at first. That changed when Mallory won the Power of Veto and took herself off, forcing Dee to find a replacement. Ashley was put up in her place.

Why the house turned on her

For a while, it looked like Taylor Brown would be the first to go.

But Ashley spread that theory around the house and named the people who had said it. That decision backfired.

The rest of the house felt they could not trust her. The vote came back unanimous, and Ashley was sent home.

Who is Ashley Trail?

Ashley is a 24-year-old bartender from Chicago, Illinois.

On the show she came across as bubbly and laid back, but she did not lock in any strong alliances or close connections with the other players.

Her trouble started early. During the first challenge, she could not compete for safety after struggling to find a correct power source and secure a spot at the table.

A busy start to Season 28

Season 28 has moved fast. Viewers watching the live feed have already caught plenty of wild moments between the contestants.

By the end of the first week, three houseguests were sitting on the block, and one of them had to walk out the door. That turned out to be Ashley.

The season has also included a twist involving surprise contestants pulled from other reality TV shows, adding familiar faces to the mix.

How to watch

“Big Brother” airs live on CBS, with episodes streaming the next day on Paramount+.

Paramount+ offers two plans. The ad-supported Essential plan usually costs $8.99 a month, while the ad-free Premium plan runs $13.99 a month and includes Showtime titles and live CBS.

New viewers can start with a seven-day free trial on the Premium plan.

With Ashley gone, the remaining houseguests move into the next round, where a new Head of House and a fresh set of nominations will decide who faces the block next.
