Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer from Mampong Beposo Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr has advised his fans to stay clear of friends who don’t support them when they need it.
Akwaboah who is the son of late highlife musician Kwadwo Akwaboah disclosed in a self-recorded video that in the entertainment industry, it is difficult to find people who believe in your craft and want to support you.
He therefore advised his fans to make sure they have supportive friends. According to him, friends who don’t support everything you do, including your career or business are not worth being called friends.
Meanwhile, Akwaboah recently opened up on his marriage and the controversy surrounding it. He explained that as a celebrity, he expected to be grilled on social media when he got married.
He also disclosed how he mentally and emotionally prepared his wife to handle the negative comments they received from social media.
He added that, as ridiculous as some of the comments and conspiracy theories were, it brought he and his wife closer.
“When I got married to my wife, we experienced all kinds of backlash from social media. We just laugh at some of the comments and move on. The most important thing is we love and respect each other.
