Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan has addressed longstanding rumors about his rivalry with fellow Black Stars player Andre Ayew.
During a live session on Instagram just moments ago, Gyan shed light on their relationship, dismissing claims of animosity between the two.
According to Gyan, external forces sought to create a rift between him and Ayew for their own personal gain.
“There were people behind me who wanted to brainwash me for their own personal interests,” he revealed, adding that such individuals fueled misconceptions about their relationship.
Contrary to popular belief, Gyan clarified that Andre Ayew, popularly known as “Dede,” has always shown him genuine love and respect.
“Personally, Andre Ayew has genuine love for me,” he emphasized, expressing appreciation for Ayew’s authenticity despite the challenges caused by external interference.
The revelation has sparked conversations among fans and football enthusiasts, many of whom have long speculated about tension between the two iconic players.
Both Gyan and Ayew have contributed immensely to Ghana’s football success, and their collaboration on the field has often been lauded.
