Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about the significant role his wife, Chioma Rowland, played during the creation of his latest album, ‘5ive’. In a recent interview, Davido expressed gratitude for Chioma’s unwavering support, stating, “Shoutout to Chioma, when I was recording the album, she was around and gave me the energy to work.”
Released on April 18, 2025, ‘5ive’ features 17 tracks with collaborations from Grammy award-winning artists Victoria Monét and Chris Brown. The album debuted at number 2 on the World Albums chart, earning 7,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Davido also revealed that Chioma has a favorite track on the album, saying, “When I spoke with her two days ago, she’s shifting towards ’10 Kilo’.”
