WWE Releases Statement On Sasha Banks and Naomi Walking Out Of RAW
WWE has released a statement clarifying the situation behind Sasha Banks and Naomi’s RAW exit.
The internet rumor that Sasha and Naomi declined to follow through on their creative intentions appears to be genuine. Before stepping out, WWE stated that they forfeited their Women’s Tag Team Titles, that they aren’t regarded as a tag team, and that they felt dangerous inside the ring with certain opponents.

When Sasha Banks and Naomi arrived at the arena this afternoon, they were informed of their participation in the main event of tonight’s Monday Night Raw.
During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk, and walked out.
They claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents – even though they’d had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence.
Monday Night Raw is a scripted live TV show, whose characters are expected to perform the requirements of their contract. We regret we were unable to deliver, as advertised, tonight’s main event.
As previously stated, a six-pack challenge to determine the new challenger to Bianca Belair’s RAW Women’s Championship was going to pit WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Naomi and Sasha Banks against Asuka, Becky Lynch, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H. Early in the night, Adam Pearce unexpectedly modified the contest to a singles match between Becky Lynch and Asuka to determine the #1 contender.
Corey Graves even said on commentary, “Sasha and Naomi unprofessionally exited the arena,” when Banks and Naomi left the venue during the program.
Fightful also mentioned that the situation is especially peculiar because Naomi was reportedly booked to win the match and be Bianca Belair’s new #1 contender for Hell In A Cell.
