Why did Sasha Banks and Naomi Walk Out on WWE Raw
Women’s Tag Team champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE Raw, according to a report from Fightful Select.
Banks apparently “wasn’t pleased” with the creative ideas for her, according to sources at the Raw taping. Becky Lynch, Naomi, Asuka, Doudrop, and Nikki ASH were meant to compete in a six-pack challenge alongside Banks. During Raw, it was reported that Asuka would fight Lynch instead of Banks and Naomi, and that they had “left the building.”
According to the Fightful article, Banks spoke with Vince McMahon to express her disapproval and “wouldn’t compromise on her stance.” McMahon, for his part, appears to have stood firm on the issue.
“We haven’t heard precisely that Naomi was involved,” the source continues, “but she and Sasha Banks fled towards the start of the program.”
Naomi was allegedly intended to win the aforementioned six-pack challenge, according to a follow-up report from Fightful.
Since beating Carmella and Queen Zelina on the second night of WrestleMania 38 in Dallas on April 3, Banks and Naomi have ruled as WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.
