The family of the late singer Nhyira Marfo Okyere, a member of Nhyira Marfo Okyere has requested that the public respect their right to privacy and refrain from disseminating untrue stories on the reason behind the musician’s passing.

Nhyira’s sudden death was a big blow to the gospel industry, with fans, colleagues and friends expressing their condolences and tributes on social media.

Team Eternity group confirmed her passing in a statement released on August 7, 2024.

Part of the statement reads: “With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our friend and sister, Nhyira Marfo Okyere. We are grief-stricken and heartbroken, but we turn to the Lord for comfort. We trust in His promise to be with us always and take refuge in His love. We ask that you keep Nhyira’s family and Team Eternity Ghana in your prayers. We are grateful for your continued love and support.”

After the announcement of her death, a social media influencer known as Quecy Official stated that she was allegedly poisoned to death. According to Quecy, he attended a concert by Team Eternity on Sunday where Nhyira Marfo Okyere put up an energetic performance.

He claimed that he later heard rumours that Nhyira was poisoned.

Anyway, the family of Nhyira have asked the public to stop spreading the false news that she was poisoned.
