The Church of Pentecost branch in North Columbus, Ohio was last Sunday empty as members failed to attend Church service in their numbers for fear of being deported.

The US is not the best place to be currently if you are without papers as the new administration is clamping down on illegal immigrants in the country.

Due to this, the majority of people in the States without proper documentation have decided to hide from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE) whose work is to identify and deport these immigrants.

The story was not different as the members of the Church of Pentecost who are mostly Africans refused to attend Church despite the free food offered on Sunday.

According to the Head District Pastor Samuel Koomson, it’s a sad thing that the Church which used to have people in the community coming in including non-members because of the free food they offer is now empty.

He explained that over 70% of the members are now scared to come to Church because they are scared that ICE will arrest and deport them back to their respective countries.

Pastor Samuel Koomson mentioned that the food is now going bad because the people are scared to come out.
