Michael Vaughan is a former English cricketer who played for the England cricket team from 1999 to 2008. He was born on October 29, 1974, in Manchester, England.

Vaughan was a top-order batsman and was known for his elegant stroke-play and excellent captaincy skills.

He played 82 Test matches for England, scoring 5,719 runs at an average of 41.44. He also played 86 One Day Internationals, scoring 1,604 runs at an average of 27.16.
