Notorious illegal mining kingpin, Kwame Ato, has once again made headlines after a viral video surfaced showing him being brutally assaulted by a rival gang.
According to reports, the clash stemmed from an earlier attack allegedly carried out by Kwame Ato and his men on a member of the rival gang.

In retaliation, the group launched a violent reprisal and subjected Kwame Ato to a public and humiliating assault.
In the disturbing footage, the rival gang members are seen slicing his head, cutting off his fingers, stripping him naked, and forcing him to defecate on himself.
They also reportedly destroyed his charms, which many in the community believe were the source of his spiritual protection.
Rumours circulating locally suggest that the attackers admitted to deliberately cutting off Ato’s fingers to prevent him from ever wearing his charmed rings again.
They also undressed him to disgrace both him and the deity he serves to symbolically stripe him of spiritual powers.
“To crown it all,” one resident alleged, “they made him poop on himself as a final sign that he had lost all his powers.”
The violent episode has reignited fears of further reprisal attacks between the rival groups, with community members calling for swift intervention by security agencies to restore calm.
