Isra Hirsi is an American environmental activist.
A self-described communist, she co-founded and served as the co-executive director of the U.S. Youth Climate Strike.
In 2020, she was named in Fortune’s 40 Under 40 Government and Politics list. She is the daughter of U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
Hirsi coordinated the organization of hundreds of student-led strikes across the United States on March 15 and May 3, 2019.

He is the ex-husband of Ilhan Omar, a Somali–American ‘Democratic’ politician and the US representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district.
On October 7, 2019, Omar filed for divorce from Hirsi, citing an “irretrievable breakdown” of the marriage. The divorce was finalized on November 5, 2019
The couple had three children, Isra Hirsi, Adnan Hirsi, and Ilwad Hirsi.
