Kofi Adoma has revealed that he was shocked how the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Nana Agyeman Badu II, failed to check up on him after he was shot in the eye covering the Kwafie festival in Dormaa Ahenkro.

According to the Ghanaian media personality, contrary to speculations, he doesn’t need any money from the Dormaahene but simply it would have been proper for the king to check up on him after he was injured during his festival.

Kofi Adoma for the first time spoke up about the eye injury he sustained while covering the festival and the aftermath of his injuries.

Speaking in the presence of his wife and entire family, Kofi Adoma revealed how he received a call from one of the Bono chiefs to cover the 25th anniversary celebration of Dormaahene’s enstoolment.

He said he went there with his team and during the celebrations, he got shot and lost all his sight. He revealed that in the aftermath of the shooting, he started bleeding.

Adoma said following that, he was taken to Dormaa Hospital. After receiving treatment, he wanted to even go back and continue covering the festival, but he was simply too weak and in pain, and later flew to Accra, before later being transported outside the country to receive treatment.

The Angel TV host touched on the news that Dormaahene has failed to check up on him since the incident and confirmed it. According to him, he is completely shocked that after going back home to cover his own hometown festival, he never received any call from the Dormaahene to check on him. He said he has no interest in taking money from him but at least the King could have shown some care about his condition.
